Mature Weareing Girdles

resold Dell computers with Windows XP

Reading this news, I learned that it appears that Windows Vista is not having Acceptance. What a surprise! (Sarcastically). Honestly, no wonder.

not know what to expect Microsoft operating system with so much control over DRM applications and user files, having to validate not know how many windows asking for permission for each one of the most mundane activities, consuming resources like a colossus, with fairly recent computers that function as if they were in previous generations. For me it was totally a fiasco operating system.

As a curious note is enough to see the changes of minimum requirements for Autocad 2008:

- XP:
  • Intel ® Pentium ® 4 processor, 2.2 GHz Recommended
  • 512 MB RAM 750 MB free disk space for installation
  • 1024x768 VGA with True Color
- Vista: Intel ®
  • 3.0
  • GHz or greater 2 GB RAM or greater
  • 2 GB free hard disk available
  • Not Including installation
1280 x 1024 32-bit color video display adapter (True Color) 128 MB or Greater
    , OpenGL ®, or Direct3D ®
    capable workstation class graphics card.
  • A Direct3D capable workstation class graphics card with 128 MB or greater is required.
Come on, one pass. A huge resource consumption for ... do the same.

seems that Dell is not the first manufacturer to do that. As a curiosity mentioned that Dell Forums Windows Vista is full of people complaining and desperate after upgrading from XP to Vista, and most trying to reverse installation and return to XP.

All this has a positive note, Linux is increasingly penetrated the market and manufacturers like Dell and seems to pose very serious offer installation. Recently launched the latest version of Ubuntu / Kubuntu, the 7.04, which I think is a good alternative for all users. Would not surprise me to see her pre-installed on many computers in a few months.
